April Computer Classes

We have had a great interest in our computer classes! We will be continuing these in April so come in and sign up, there are two spots open per class and it is on a first come, first serve basis.

If you are too late to sign up for a specific class, write your name under the interested section and we will give you a call when we decide on our next set of dates!

April 4th: Beginning Computers – this class will cover desktop icons, basic and advanced internet searches, and e-mail. THIS CLASS IS FULL.

April 11th: Beginning Computers – this class will cover desktop icons, basic and advanced internet searches, and e-mail. ONE SPOT LEFT.

April 18th: Facebook–this class covers social media. You MUST have an e-mail account to take this class.

April 25th: Beginning Computers – this class will cover desktop icons, basic and advanced internet searches, and e-mail.

The Library’s annual Bake Sale will be held on March 15th from 10-3.  Stop in to buy some of your favorite treats!

April Children’s Program will be held on Tuesday, April 16th at 4PM! We have decided to hold the program on a weekday to accommodate to the families who are not able to make it on Saturday’s and for kids who need somewhere to hang out right after school! Dr. Gregory will be bringing his dog and will be speaking to the kids about puppies and other animals. Invite your friends and families!

 

Greenbush Grant Children’s Titles

Library to Host Computer Classes

The library will be holding a few free computer classes through the coming months. There are only 2 spots available per class, so hurry in and sign up if you’d like to participate. It’s possible we will host the same classes again if we have enough interest.

March 7th: Beginning Computers — this class will cover desktop icons, basic and advanced internet searches, and email. ONE spot left.

March 14th: Facebook — This class covers social media. You MUST have an email account to take this class. ONE spot left.

March 21st: Resume Writing/Basic Microsoft Word Application. THIS CLASS IS FILLED. (Let us know if you are interested in us hosting this class again)

March 28th: Digital Cameras — Please bring your digital cameras and any cords or pieces that came with the camera. TWO spots open.

Quilting Workshop

The Columbus Public Library will be holding a Quilting Workshop on Sunday, February 17th and Sunday, February 24th from 1:30PM-6:00PM, approximately. Gini Daniels will be instructing the participates on how to make a Bargello Pattern Quilt, large enough to serve as a wall hanging, baby blanket, table cloth, or as 4 place mats.

The class will take place in the basement of the library. The enrollment fee is $30.00 which includes the two-day class and a material kit (2 different sets to choose from). Those wishing to participants must bring their own sewing machine, rotary cutter, and mat.

This class has a limited enrollment, so if you would like to participate please visit us at the library to sign up, pick up your material kit, and get a list of supplies you will need to bring!

Saturday, February 16th, the Library will be hosting a Teen Program for teens ages 11 and older! The program will begin at 1PM and will consist of sewing basics. Those attending should bring materials or clothing in need of mending.
